The Beginning
In one of Yemen’s fertile valleys, where sidr trees embrace the mountain breeze, and where the mountains sleep and awaken to nature’s secrets each morning.
Our honey story began in the time of our ancestors, with the roots of “Royal Shahd” tracing back to the year 1990, when my grandfather carried the key to Yemeni wisdom and inherited the craft of beekeeping and honey harvesting from his forefathers.
That craft, deeply rooted in the lands of Saba, Awsan, and Himyar, has for thousands of years made honey a symbol of health, generosity, and luxury in Yemeni homes.
My grandfather didn’t just make honey—he crafted goodness. In village gatherings, he would offer honey to guests as a token of pride and appreciation, while families used it as a remedy and healing for all.
Challenges
In every hive our ancestors placed among the rocks and valleys of Hadramaut, there was a vow to carry on and inherit the wondrous secret of harvesting rare honey from the heights of mountains and caves.
And each year, the Yemeni remains steadfast in preserving those human rituals that unite identity, family, and the pursuit of honest livelihood.
The years passed, marked by the joys of harvest, the bitterness of war, and the harshness of nature—yet every drop of honey from Royal Shahd remained a testament to family heritage, the resilience of the Yemeni spirit, and the wisdom of our forefathers.

Today, every jar of Royal Shahd carries the story of Yemeni warmth and the timeless craftsmanship passed down through generations.
